Website browsing. You can use d1.football without an account. We serve pages through our hosting provider, which may process standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, requested URLs, and timestamps for security and reliability.
Waitlist sign-ups. If you join our email waitlist, we collect the email address you submit and may store your browser user-agent string with the signup for troubleshooting.
Headline click counts. When you open an external news story from d1.football, we may record a click event containing the article identifier, optional headline metadata (title, category, image URL, outbound link), whether the click came from the website or app, and a timestamp. These events are used to rank popular headlines. They are not linked to a named user account on the website.
Account information (app). The D1 College Football app uses sign-in to sync your teams and settings across devices. You can sign in with Apple or with a one-time code sent to your email—we do not use passwords for email sign-in. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to share your name, we may store it on your account profile.
Teams, preferences, and notifications. When you are signed in, we store the teams you follow, your content preferences (such as scores, news, and rankings), and your notification settings (push master switch plus game start, scoring, and final score alerts).
Push notification tokens. If you enable push notifications on a physical device, we store an Expo push token and platform label (iOS, Android, or web) tied to your account so we can deliver alerts for games involving teams you follow.
On-device storage. The app also keeps some data locally on your phone—such as onboarding progress, cached team lists, and preferences when you are not signed in—using the device's local storage. Local data is removed if you uninstall the app.
Support messages. If you email us at support@d1.football, we receive whatever information you choose to include in your message.
We do not ask for your precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone access in the D1 College Football app. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on d1.football or in the app based on our current codebase. We do not sell your personal information.
We use the information above to:
We use trusted vendors to run D1 Football. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:
Sports scores, schedules, rankings, and news summaries are fetched from our D1 Football API on the server. We do not send your account details to that API when loading public content.
We keep account-related data while your account is active so your follows and settings remain available. Push tokens are removed when you disable notifications or sign out, and may remain until overwritten by a new registration.
Headline click events are retained to compute rolling popularity counts. Waitlist emails are kept until the waitlist is no longer needed or you ask us to remove your address.
Our notification service stores minimal game state (such as scores and whether a start or final alert was already sent) to avoid duplicate push messages. That data is not tied to your identity.
Browse without an account. d1.football does not require sign-in. The D1 College Football app requires you to create an account and sign in to use the app after onboarding.
App account. Sign-in syncs your followed teams, content preferences, and notification settings across devices.
Notifications. Turn push notifications on or off in the app, and adjust individual alert types. You can also disable notifications in your device Settings.

Delete your account. In the app, go to More → Manage Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and associated data (followed teams, preferences, and push notification settings).
